Devotional Prayer Began Early for Sr. Marielle
My private devotional day begins at Sinsinawa Mound in the fifth-floor, east community room watching the sunrise. My devotion to the Blessed Sacrament began with daily Mass, which was part of our school day. Sr. Patricia Cherishes Praying Rosary
As a member of the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation of the Most Holy Rosary, I have often thought about my relationship to the practice of praying the rosary. When I first entered the Order, we said the rosary daily in common. When a Sister died, we prayed the 15 decades of the rosary for her in common. Solidarity with the World’s Sorrows
The devotions related to Our Lady of Sorrows—complete with images of a sad-faced Mary with swords piercing her breast—never appealed to me. These seemed to be prayer forms appropriate to another era.
