Casavant Organ Returns
Sisters at Sinsinawa Mound celebrated the return of the Casavant organ from the Casavant factory in Québec, Canada. The refurbishing of the organ in Queen of the Rosary Chapel began in September 2008 with the organ being dismantled and sent to Canada. Read more . . .

Sr. Janet Delperdang: Embracing the New
Although admittedly shy, Janet Delperdang, OP, has challenged herself throughout life to seek out new people, places, and experiences. She was once a Sister of Christian Charity and transferred to the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation in 1975. She ministered as principal for 20 years and then heeded a call to serve in parish ministry in the South, away from the comfort of a larger Sister community. Read more . . .
Enactment Update: Dominican Collaboration
In our 2006 Chapter we articulated two Enactments that highlight ways of deepening our value of Dominican collaboration. Enactment 31 recommends that we increase our efforts through existing Dominican organizations. Camp WeHaKee: Broadening Experience in a Growing World
The unique and inclusive nature of Camp WeHaKee begins in its name. The namesake is a young girl of Sioux and French descent named Mary WeHaKee who was entrusted by her mother to Alberta Duffy, OP, in the 1840s to ensure she was raised in a loving and accepting environment. In 1923, David O’Leary, OP, created a camp for girls and chose the name WeHaKee to honor this young woman who captured the hearts of the Sisters nearly 70 years earlier. Read more . . .
