Sister Beda Cleary, OP, died July 10, 2010. Professed in 1942, Sr. Beda taught in the following schools: St. Albert the Great, Minneapolis; Blessed Sacrament, Sioux City, IA; Holy Angels, Omaha, NE; St. Clement, Sheboygan, WI; St. Joseph Cathedral, Sioux Falls, SD; All Saints, Los Angeles; St. Michael, South Sioux City, NE; SS. Peter and Paul, Tulsa, OK; Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gallup, NM; and St. Rose, Cuba City, WI. She tutored at Queen of Peace, Burbank, IL, and ministered as an aide at St. Joseph School, Sinsinawa, WI. Sister Mary Helen Neenan, OP (Philomene), died May 17, 2010. She led the first group of four Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where she ministered in religious education and music at Holy Cross Parish. Sister Mary Helen served in Hispanic ministry at the Latin American Center, Kenosha, WI, and St. Clement Parish, Sheboygan, WI, where she also ministered as pastoral associate; ministered in eldercare in Cedar Rapids, IA; and volunteered in the General Finance Office at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, WI. Sister Helen Spellecy, OP (Justine), died April 20, 2010. She ministered as principal at Resurrection, Minneapolis; St. Sabina, Chicago; Blessed Sacrament, Madison, WI; and Blessed Sacrament, Sioux City, IA, and as assistant principal at St. Barnabas, Chicago. Sister Helen served as faculty at Edgewood College, Madison, WI; general councilor for the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation; Mound prioress at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, WI; assistant to the superintendent of Catholic schools for the Archdiocese of Omaha, NE; and aide at Sacred Heart School, Omaha, NE. Sr. Consuela ministered as assistant principal and religious education teacher at St. Joseph the Worker School and Parish, Dubuque, IA; secretary at St. Patrick School, Lemont, IL; administrator at Trinity Convent, River Forest, IL, where she also volunteered; and volunteer at Divine Providence Convent, Des Plaines, IL. Sister Pancratius Ritacca, OP, died Feb. 4, 2010. In Kenosha, she ministered in family care, taught religious education, did home visits, served as sacristan, and led Bible studies. Sr. Pancratius enjoyed telling jokes and riddles. Sister Helen Hayes, OP (Margaret Cortona), died Jan. 30, 2010. Professed in 1956, Sr. Helen taught in the following schools: St. John Cathedral, Milwaukee, WI; Edgewood High, Madison, WI; Newman, Wausau, WI; Dominican, Whitefish Bay, WI; and Bethlehem Academy, Faribault, MN. She ministered in the Development Office at Edgewood High School, Madison, WI; the Diocese of Orlando, Orlando, FL; and All Souls Catholic Church, Sanford, FL, and as a grant writer at Good Shepherd Parish, Orlando, FL. Sr. Helen ministered as the chancellor of the Diocese of Gary, Merrillville, IN, where she initiated a ministry formation program for the diocese; pastoral associate at Blessed Trinity Parish, Orlando, FL, and St. Mary Magdalen Parish, Altamonte Spring, FL; and in adult spiritual formation at Blessed Trinity Parish, Orlando, FL. Sister Roque Cunningham, OP, died Jan. 29, 2010. Professed in 1956, Sr. Roque ministered at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, WI, as a sacristan, switchboard operator, and assistant in the General Finance Office and in the mail room. She served as support staff at Dominican High School, Whitefish Bay, WI; receptionist at Bishop Lynch High School, Dallas, TX; and as an electronic communicator at the Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago. Sr. Roque ministered in the library at St. Dominican High School, Omaha, NE; St. Luke School, River Forest, IL; Consolidated Schools, Faribault, MN; and St. Michael School, South Sioux City, NE, where she was also a teacher. Sr. Ellen Claire ministered as a gerontological consultant at Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest, IL, and Cook County Hospital, Chicago; as a teacher and counselor at Holy Family Parish, Citrus Heights, CA; and as a spiritual director and counselor at St. John Evangelist Parish, Carmichael, CA.
