Sister Antoinette “Toni” Callahan, OP (Vincent Mary), died Jan. 17, 2012. Professed in 1951, Sr. Toni taught in the following schools: Edgewood High, Madison, WI; Heelan, Sioux City, IA; Bethlehem Academy, Faribault, MN; and Queen of Peace, Burbank, IL. She ministered as teacher, member of the resident director team, and as acting dean of students at Rosary College (now Dominican University), River Forest, IL. Sr. Toni served as guidance counselor at Holy Family Parish, Chicago, and St. Thomas the Apostle School, Chicago, and taught English as a second language at Blessed Sacrament, Chicago. She served as pastoral associate at Queen of All Saints Basilica, Chicago, and in retreat and pastoral ministry in the greater Chicago area. Sr. Toni was artist in residence at Port of Spain, Trinidad, and Denver, CO, where she was also a team member of the “Sustainability in the City” project. May she rest in peace.
